It was a regular kind of an evening and I was driving over a neighborhood bridge. A mural on the wall of a building caught my eyes briefly. It didn’t look like an advertisement, just a work of art created by an artist in the moment of inspiration. Those brief two seconds detached me from the day to day, the humdrum in my mind and transported me to a much quieter place. A place where the mind could rest, explore and wander freely. I felt connected to my spirit. That moment I got an answer to a long standing question in my mind. What is the importance of art?

There are many powerful answers that I have come across like art is one of the representations of our civilization, a footprint for the future generations, a mode of personal expression. It is dear to mother earth as she preserves it herself. But I wondered about its importance in the present time, our living time?
I understood that : Art helps take us to the part of our world we don’t visit very often. It helps us see the world we live in from a spiritual perspective. Art is so much more important in todays day and age than ever before as we are getting entangled in some sort of a web pulling us away from the simplicity and quiet. Art helps strip us away from the web and connect us with the stories we don’t hear very often. Once upon a time, in the land where our spirit lived..
Those brief moments!
An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
Hi Joni,
Thanks for your kind words! I should be posting something soon. Art is close to my heart and hopefully more inspirations should follow to help me understand this subject better.
To the next!
